UPSTATE CONSERVATIVE COALITION TO HOST A COMMUNITY FORUM ON THE RE-CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR PISTOL PERMITS.
Under requirements of the NYS Safe Act, passed into legislation in 2013. The New York State Police Pistol Permit Bureau began sending out 5 year re-certification letters in January to Pistol Permit Licensees Holders across New York State. Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo and Saratoga County Clerk Craig Hayner will be here to discuss what they have learned to date from the State regarding the re-certification process. They will also discuss the additional burdens placed on their respective offices; and answer questions from the audience. Both elected officials have been critical of the Governor’s unconstitutional SAFE Act legislation and the provisions that place undue burdens on the County, and Law Abiding Citizens.
The state of New York really should be two separate states.
The views of people who live in the upstate and downstate areas are very different. While approval of both Congress and State Legislature is needed to divide NY into two states; an amendment to our New York State constitution is all that is needed to divide our state into two completely autonomous regions.
